Hospital & ice house built by Dr’s Bird & Vermillion
General store (for a short period of time) across road from bottling plant
Two privately owned sawmills
Barber shop in former hospital house
VGN Freight and passenger station & section gang for track maintenance
Rock United Methodist Church
Masonic Lodge (located upstairs of bottling plant)
Pythian Lodge (later converted into a house)
Baseball field with teams sponsored by coal companies in area
Motorcycle races on track around baseball field

Businesses located on the north side of Bluestone River
Planeing mill, barrel stave mill (for making wooden barrels) & concrete
Block plant (made blocks for bottling plant building). These were Owned by Charles Hughes
Local saloon (where post office is now)
N&W Freight & passenger station & section gang for track maintenance
Three general stores (two selling gasoline & kerosene
Post office in general stores (a freestanding office in past several years)
Blacksmith shop (mostly for shoeing horses & wagon repair)
Slaughter house (didn’t last too long — not much demand)

Baptist Church (not having regular services)
Several cemeteries in the general area (can identify about 10 or more)
